Would you like to experience the action up close and help make the event safe and successful? Then we’re looking for you. We’re still looking for a few enthusiastic crowd control volunteers!
As a crowd control officer, you’re stationed at a point where riders and spectators cross paths. You ensure that visitors are behind the barriers in time and that the route remains clear when a rider and horse are approaching. This is an important task, because the horses don’t stop, and the safety of both riders and spectators is paramount.
You're right in the middle of the action
You make an indispensable contribution to the event
You'll receive a distinctive vest and a whistle
No experience required, but a sense of responsibility and a healthy dose of enthusiasm are essential
A participant passes by about every three minutes. As soon as you hear the signal, make sure the audience is standing safely. Sometimes this requires you to act clearly and decisively.
