After intensive discussions and an examination of various scenarios and additional measures to make the competition possible, the board of Eventing Flevoland decided Eventing Flevoland to cancel the competition scheduled for Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27.
Weather forecasts predict persistently high temperatures. Despite the heat protocols that have been put in place and the possible measures that have been explored, the board sees no way to organize the competition in a responsible and safe manner for horses, riders, volunteers, officials, and visitors.
“We are not taking this decision lightly. Over the past few days, we have explored all possible solutions, but the welfare of the horses and the safety of everyone involved are our top priorities.”
The board would like to thank participants, volunteers, sponsors, and others involved for their understanding and dedication, and hopes to welcome everyone back to Eventing Flevoland in 2027.
